Remembrance Sunday

This weekend marked the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

In addition to the beautiful remembrance service held by the Junior School in Cedars Hall on Friday, the School held a Remembrance Service in Wells Cathedral on Sunday evening, at which the Bishop of Bath and Wells preached, the Chapel Choir sung, poems were read in English, German and French, and the Old Wellensian Roll of Honour was read out. Junior and Senior School parents, OWs, staff and pupils all attended.

On Sunday morning, members of the Wells Cathedral School Combined Cadet Force and the school drumline took a key part in the city Remembrance Day Parade; whilst Wells trumpeters played The Last Post and Reveille at services across the region.
