Parents’ Association Christmas Fair
The annual Parents’ Association Christmas Fair took place on 1st December, festively heralding the start of the Christmas countdown at Wells. The Eavis Hall and the John Baxter Foyer were filled with colourful stalls selling Christmas gifts; whilst parents enjoyed hot chocolate, mulled wine and mince pies provided by the catering team.
Members of the Pre-Prep and Junior School ballet club performed a beautiful rendition of Tchaikovsky’s Dance of the Snowflakes from The Nutcracker; pupils from across the Junior School sang a range of Christmas songs; and the Wells Senior Brass Quintet played carols to further enhance the festive spirit.
The two youngest pupils in the Pre-Prep lit the Christmas tree lights on the Cedars Hall tree, already jubilantly bedecked with handmade Pre-Prep decorations; whilst the main School Christmas tree on Cedars Lawn was simultaneously illuminated.
It was, as always, a lovely occasion and provided a celebratory, musical start to such a magical time of year. Many thanks to the Parents’ Association team, volunteers and staff who gave so much time and energy to create such a wonderful event.
