England Hockey Trials for Wells Private High School

Hockey Success for Wells Seniors

Senior School Wells hockey players are enjoying success across the age ranges, with many selected for trials and matches over the October break and the weeks ahead.

Three pupils are taking part in England Hockey trials this week: good luck to Year 11 pupil Oskar Edwards for the Under 16 trials, and to Year 11 pupil Charles Rowley and Upper Sixth pupil, Lily Webb for the Under 18 trials.

Archie Bray, Monty Pratt and Ralf Warner, all in Year 9, played at Under 13 level for the West Panthers against the South Saxons last week, a fixture that replaced the planned UK Regional Tournament cancelled due to covid-19.

Eight Wells hockey players have forthcoming Performance Centre trials. Good luck to Oskar Edwards, Mia Falco, Florence Gummer, Archie Mycock, William Perring, Charles Rowley, Ralf Warner and Dimity Williams.

Development Centre trials have also just been completed and we look forward to hearing about selections for Academy Centre trials.

Others have been actively involved over the break training and playing with their clubs, which include the Clifton Robbies, Bath Buccs, Mid Somerset Hockey and Somerset Hockey.
