Cross Country for Our Private Secondary School

Senior School Cross Country

Senior School pupils participated in House Cross Country throughout last week, with races completed in separate year groups. Over 350 pupils participated across the week with some absolutely thrilling finishes to each race, including a new school record!

Winners of each year group were:

Year 7

Boys – George Broomhead
Girls – Tilly Fitton-White

Year 8

Boys – Daniel Allen
Girls – Linsey Mitchell

Year 9

Boys – Arthur Sharp
Girls – Tabitha Heaselgrave

Year 10

Boys – Dougie Sharp
Girls – Sophie Nicholls New School record

Senior

Boys – Oskar Edwards
Girls – Sophie Nicholls (Year 10), Marie Spiller

Director of Sport, Tom Webley said, “A special mention to Sophie Nicholls who broke the school record, running the Intermediate course in 11:26. Sophie ran the Senior course the very next day and came a close second to Oskar Edwards, who put in an incredible performance to win the Senior race. Thanks to the Grounds team for setting up the course and keeping the running surface in such a great condition throughout the week.”
