Independent Day Junior School Art Exhibition

Junior School Spring Artwork

Pupils in the Junior School have been particularly creative this term, working on a series of artworks during lockdown and on their return to the classroom.

Year 4 pupils have been studying the patterns and colours found in water. They used batik to create the basic patterns and dyed the fabric. They then added different textured fabrics and sewed over the top. Examples of their work can be viewed below.

Year 5 pupils studied portraits during the latest Lockdown period. Examples of their work completed at home, can be viewed below.

The final online lesson given to Junior School pupils by teacher Rachel Coling before the end of lockdown, was a challenge to draw something they found in the kitchen. These images have been done by children from across Years 3 to 6.
