Food Bank Donations
A big thank you to Lower Sixth pupils Karina Chan and Natalia Gal who delivered food donations to the Wells Vineyard Church Food Bank on Saturday, which they had been collecting as part of their project for Wednesday Afternoon Activities with Nicky Connock this term.
Nicky said, “The girls organised the whole process as part of their activities and should be praised for their efforts. The church was incredibly grateful for the donations, explaining that demand is still high and donations have decreased. They are supporting 100 people each week and so you can appreciate the demands facing them.
We will be looking to repeat this collection in September and throughout the next academic year. Currently we have two pupils organising clothing donations for a homeless charity.”
