Our Country’s Good Filming
Filming has been taking place this week for the Senior School Drama production of Our Country’s Good, which will be available to view by a pre-booked virtual audience in late June.
This challenging play, based on the novel The Playmaker by Thomas Keneally, has been professionally filmed in Cedars Hall this week, providing the actors and technical crew with the opportunity for real film experience instead of the usual live performances.
The demanding storyline, which takes place in an Australian penal colony in 1788, covers the planning and direction of the first play ever to be staged in the new country, involving an unlikely cast of soldiers and convicts.

Based on a true story, this is a play performed by a Sixth Form cast about the effects of brutalisation, hope and learning to live again; particularly resonant in these times.
We are all looking forward to seeing the final cut!
