Cricket Week 2021
The Wells Annual Cricket Week commenced with a wonderful display of cricketing prowess as the First XI took on the MCC on the glorious Cedars cricket pitch on Monday.
The stunning grounds and blazing sunshine provided a fitting backdrop to this showcase, the first of many scheduled matches for the celebration week, and offered a masterclass in batting skill by Wells captain Bryce Furlong, who had a fine innings of 87 not out.
The week’s cricket continues with matches against Taunton Deane U19s, local schools Bryanston, The Downs, Downside, King’s Bruton and the XL Club, as well as Mumbai-style Kwik cricket for the whole School on Wednesday.
