Life of Pi WCS Independent School Somerset

Life of Pi Drama Trip

51 A level and GCSE Drama pupils travelled to London’s Wyndham’s Theatre yesterday to see the stage production of Life of Pi adapted beautifully by Lolita Chakrabarti and based on Yann Martel’s Man Booker Prize-winning novel. Pupils were mesmerised by the exquisitely designed large-scale puppets, especially Richard Parker the breathtaking Bengal tiger, as well as the vividly drawn characters and dazzling visual effects. It was truly a magical and life-affirming experience that has given them plenty to write about in their live theatre evaluations including captivating theatrical storms, iridescent shoals of fish, starry skies, enormous turtles, horrifying hyenas and a stage of endless imagination and transformation.
