Choristers Meet David Briggs
Choristers Belinda (Year 6) and Michael (Year 6) were very excited to have the opportunity to meet world-renowned organist David Briggs at Wells Cathedral on Saturday 21st May.
David was an Organ Scholar at King’s College Cambridge and now teaches at Cambridge University whilst serving as Artist-in-Residence at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City. He frequently gives master classes at colleges and conservatories across the globe and serves on international organ competition juries. David was performing a Gala Organ Recital in aid of The Friends of Wells Cathedral’s Grand Organ Appeal, after which Belinda and Michael were given an introduction.
Congratulations to Belinda and Michael on this illustrious meeting, a memory they will be able to cherish for life.
