BBC Young Musician 2022
We are delighted to tell you that two Wells pupils – violinist Dawid Kasprzak (Year 11) and horn player Imogen Moorsom (Upper Sixth) – have been announced as Category Finalists in the BBC Young Musician 2022 competition.
Out of thousands of entrants, just 25 outstanding young musicians have been selected for this televised stage of the competition, which will be held in July at Saffron Hall in Essex. Earlier this week, Imogen and Dawid – along with their recital partners Nick and Emma – had the chance to practice their recital programmes at Quilter Hall in front of a small invited audience, who were spellbound by their astonishingly accomplished performances.
We wish them both, and all of the finalists, the best of luck for the competition!
