Visit to Luke Jerram’s Studio in Bristol

On Wednesday 25th January, A level Fine Art and History of Art pupils enjoyed a rare opportunity to visit the studio of world renowned artist, Luke Jerram, creator of the Museum of the Moon and Gaia installations that were recently exhibited in Wells Cathedral. Having just returned from his One Show appearance on BBC 1 on Tuesday 24th January, Luke ensured our pupils had a fantastic and highly informative experience which included a guided tour, along with in-depth explanations of his work, processes and career to date. Pupils were able to see elements of his work in progress first-hand, take photographs and find out all they wanted to know by asking Luke plenty of questions, including about his latest public art event in Manchester, First Breath.
