Upper Sixth volunteers say goodbye to The Lawrence Centre
On Saturday 29th April, Upper Sixth pupils Alix Barruol, Grace Davies, Lloyd Chin, Emily Moores and Adam Baker had their final volunteering session at The Lawrence Centre.
Alongside Justin Chan, they have been volunteering on the last Saturday of each month for the past two years, engaging with members who have dementia or other health issues.
They have demonstrated great commitment, professionalism and have been wonderful ambassadors for the School.
Maggie Charlesworth, Founder and Manager, said: ‘It’s been wonderful having the pupils join our monthly Saturday group. They have formed a real bond with our older people, and it has been so lovely to witness. Our members and staff will really miss them.”
