Percussion concert with Royal Birmingham Conservatoire
On Thursday 21st September the Music Department welcomed Percussionists from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC) for a lively evening of playful Percussion.
The collaboration was led by Toby Kearney, Head of Percussion at the RBC and Principal Percussion and Timpani of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and we were thrilled to see Old Wellensians Yufei Zhu and Sehyogue Aulakh, who are in their second and third year at the Conservatoire.
Jayne Obradovic, Co-ordinator of Percussion, described it as, “A day full of energy, teamwork and reconnecting Old Wellensians and current pupils. A spectacular tea time concert full of enthusiasm with a supportive family feel from Year 7 to the Upper Sixth.”
