Wells hosts Argentinian school
The Sports Department welcomed St. Matthew’s College, Argentina, as part of their tour of England for fixtures in Rugby and Hockey. Both games were played in excellent spirits!
Mr Webley, Director of Sport, commented; “We were delighted to host St Matthew’s College from Argentina for two amazing sports fixtures against our 1st XI Girls’ Hockey team and 1st XV Boys’ Rugby team. There was great anticipation for our boys and girls who were really excited to compete against one of the finest schools in Argentina. Both Hockey and Rugby fixtures were hugely competitive, but Wells managed to narrowly win both games in what was a really exciting spectacle! It was lovely to see the interaction of both teams after the fixtures in what proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon of sport.”
