Badminton Championships
Kingston Leung (Lower Sixth), Nicole Wong, Myron Ong, Aidan Li and Kingsley Lai (Upper Sixth) competed in the Somerset Restricted Championships at the Princess Royal Sports Complex last weekend.
Nicole overcame her nerves to beat a strong Millfield player in the Semi-Final and a strong Wellington School player in the Final, winning the U19 Girls’ Singles.
Aidan and Kingsley were runners up in the U19 Open Doubles, losing to a well-established Somerset pair.
Jane Lipton, Head of Badminton, commented; “All of the players worked their socks off and really enjoyed the opportunity to play different opponents.”
