Netball selections
We have been delighted to hear that a number of Wells girls have been selected into prestigious Netball setups.
Congratulations to Olivia Bradbury and Ariane Lynn-Jones (Year 8) who have been selected for the U13 Somerset County Academy. The girls were selected into the Academy earlier in the summer and started weekly training with the squad last month.
Congratulations are also owed to Sylvie Burrows (Year 11), Ada Horsman (Year 11) and Holly-Claire Denegri (Upper Sixth) for their selection into the Academy Development Centre (ADC) for Team Bath Netball. The girls will be training weekly at the ADC in Bath, with Holly-Claire showing Sylvie and Ada the ropes as this is her second year in the squad. Having started their training in September, they are looking forward to progressing within the programme.
Ms Conabeare, Head of Netball, commented; “These selections show how hard these girls have worked to improve their Netball skills and we are thrilled to be able to celebrate this huge success with them. I’m excited to see what they bring to the Wells court when our Netball Term starts in January!“
