Whole School Christmas Carol Service
Our Christmas Carol Service officially ended the Advent Term, with the Whole School (Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior) joining together in Wells Cathedral.
We heard the story of Christmas read beautifully by pupils and staff, and enjoyed some superb choral singing from the Choristers, Choralia, Chamber Choir and Prep School. Belinda Gifford-Guy (Year 8), recent winner of the BBC Young Chorister of the Year Award, gave a beautiful solo performance of the first verse of ‘Once in Royal David’s City‘, while some instrumentalists performed Corelli’s ‘Christmas Concerto‘ superbly. A brass fanfare announced the conclusion of the service as the whole congregation of pupils, staff and parents raised the Cathedral roof by singing ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing‘.
It was an inspiring and uplifting end to a wonderful Term.
