Wells musicians perform in Lenthall Concert Series
On Thursday 8th February the Wells Cathedral School Symphony Orchestra and String Orchestra travelled to Burford School to perform as part of the Lenthall Concert Series.
Aniela, Teagan, Toby and Harry (Lower Sixth) began the concert with the first movement of Beethoven’s first ‘Razumovsky’ String Quartet, then the String Orchestra conducted by Mr Laing performed Elgar’s ‘Introduction and Allegro’ for String Quartet and String Orchestra. After the interval the Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mr Brink rounded the concert off with a performance of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
It was brilliant to be able to take music performed at the A level Conference in December and the Proms out of Wells!
