Clarinet and Saxophone Day
On Sunday 3rd March the Woodwind Department hosted over 30 young clarinet and saxophone players for a day of workshops, masterclasses and ensemble playing.
Wells tutors Richard Russell and Edward Leaker were joined by distinguished guests Nicholas Cox (clarinet) and Andy Tweed (saxophone). There were also a number of teachers who attended to observe classes and share ideas. Nicholas Cox stayed to give a masterclass for our own clarinet specialists on Monday and also gave an insightful talk at the specialist music seminar.
A special mention must go to the GMA team of Emma Keskeys, Oliver Ashley and Megan Glover who not only helped with logistics but also tutored a group of young players.
