CCF RN visit RNAS Yeovilton
On Tuesday 19th March, 18 Royal Navy cadets visited the airbase at RNAS Yeovilton.
During our last visit to the airbase, the Commander of the Wildcat Maritime Force set up an affiliation between us, and it was a privilege to be able to visit the Wildcat Helicopters again. The cadets received a tour of the fire station, M3M gun shop, air traffic control tower and radar room. They were also allowed in to watch the underwater escape training, where serving military personnel had to escape from a Wildcat that had been submerged in a swimming pool.
A big thank you to Mr Padgett and Mr Lancey for taking the trip.
