Cricket season gets underway
As April turned to May, we were delighted to see our cricketers step onto the field after an exceptionally wet winter.
Our Boys’ 1st XI won their first two games of the season, convincingly beating Warminster School by nine wickets and Wells Cricket Club by six wickets. We also hosted Downside School, Wellington School and Perrott Hill School. Many schools were unable to host games due to the weather; it is testament to the hard work of our Estates team that we had four playable grounds early in the season and we cannot thank them enough. The Wells teams won several of their games, and particular congratulations must go to Harley (Year 7) who took five wickets for just eight runs in his four overs, with a hat-trick thrown in for good measure!
