Joint concert in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust
Pupils from the Brass and Percussion Departments performed in a joint concert with Wells City Band Academy to an enthusiastic audience in Cedars Hall on Sunday 12th May. The concert was in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, and kindly supported by Besson Instruments.
Ross Brown, Co-ordinator of Brass, commented:
“It was wonderful to see and hear over 40 musicians from the School and the local community collaborate for such a wonderful cause. In preparation for the performance the players experienced a workshop by leading brass band conductor and Head of Brass Band Studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Ian Porthouse. Our thanks to Lyndon Chapman and Besson Instruments for their kind support of this new joint initiative.”
