1st Team Girls’ Hockey Through to National Final

Last Wednesday saw our 1st Team Girl’s Hockey travel to London to Mill Hill School in the Semi Final of the England Hockey T2 Plate and what a performance it was. Mill Hill were formidable opponents.

Goals from Poppy W, Emily B and Tilly M secured a superb 5-2 victory and booked the team’s place in the national final. A special mention goes to Linsey M, who delivered a commanding performance, leading from the front and setting the standard.

The team were backed by fantastic support from parents and alumni, creating a real sense of occasion.

Next up: the Final at Lee Valley Olympic Park on Tuesday 10th March. We are super excited to send the team up to London, with a bus full of supporters (pupils and staff) along with supporting musicians who are really going to bring the vibes.

Huge congratulations to the entire squad and to Mr. Mayes on an outstanding achievement. The Wells spirit continues to shine on the pitch and beyond.
