Chamber Music Week
Before the Easter holidays, our Music Department held their inaugural Chamber Music Week. Spread over two exceptionally well-attended Lunchtime Concerts and a Sunday afternoon Platform Concert there were performances by over 60 pupils. The String, Woodwind, Brass, Keyboard and Composition Departments were all represented. There were masterclasses from OW Philip Dukes (1985), and the Elias Quartet as part of the Maestro Series, with funding from the Frost Trust.
The focus of these events has led to a much higher level of engagement and independent rehearsal from pupils who are now keen to start on their next projects!
