Promenade season begins with Brass and Percussion
We are into Prom season. These special concerts in the Cathedral are not to be missed. Fabulous quality music in different places in Wells Cathedral, currently with no chairs allowing the performers and audience to move through the building enjoying the atmosphere as well as the music. Our first prom was led by the Brass and Percussion Departments. It was a terrific evening with so many superb performances and lovely to hear the Choralia being joined by horns and harps in Brahms and witnessing the theatre of four pupils playing a single marimba was a joy. The fun of seeing pupils swapping sides of the instrument … like a game of musical chairs set to a glorious Percussion soundtrack. Next, the Strings and Woodwind take the lead. See you there!
