Incredible Season for Badminton
On the last Monday in April the U18 Boys Badminton team played their final league match of the season against the league leaders, Queens Taunton, with all to play for!
Having won Division 3, and leapt over Division 2 due to considerable success earlier in the season, the boys had enjoyed a storming run, making it to the pinnacle of Division 1.
The final matches were neck and neck, but with 8 points to make up, Queens proved too impressive an opponent, coming through to finally win 9-7.
In their very first league season, Wells moved up two whole divisions and came an impressive second overall. Captain Nate, Year 11, said, “Next year the team will only get stronger and will look to capture the title next season. Bring it on!”
