Girls’ Hockey 1st XI reach national final
Huge congratulations to the Girls’ Hockey 1st XI who travelled to Great Marlow School on Tuesday 6th February where they won the Semi-Final of the Tier 2 Plate of the England Hockey Cup.
Mr Mayes, Head of Hockey, comments, “I’m delighted to see the girls progress to play at the Lee Valley Olympic Park in March. The time and dedication that they all have shown with their Hockey both inside and outside of School has allowed them to progress to such a level and I cannot wait to see them perform on a national stage in what will be an experience that they will remember forever. Great Marlow are a fantastic team with several outstanding players, but Ella (Upper Sixth) is worthy of an individual mention for saving a penalty stroke in regulation time and then three shuffles in the shootout against this formidable opposition.”
The Wells girls will compete in the final on Tuesday 5th March.
