SCHOLARSHIPS

We award a number of scholarships each year to recognise a variety of talents.

Junior School Scholarships

In the Junior School, we offer Specialist Music Scholarships and Choristerships. Please note that the application process and financial awards for these are completely independent to the Scholarships outlined below. Please see this link for more information about our Music Scholarships and this link for details about our Chorister Scholarships.

Senior School Scholarships

Overview

Every year we award a number of scholarships to recognise current talent and potential in a wide variety of fields. In addition to a financial award, our Scholars receive enhanced educational opportunities and privileges to help them develop their talents.

Please note that you may apply for multiple scholarships. If successful, you can receive one financial scholarship and an additional honorary scholarship.

Specialist Music and Chorister Scholarships

Please note that the application process and financial awards for one of our Specialist Music programmes and Choristership are completely independent to the Scholarships outlined below. Please see this link for more information about our Music Scholarships and this link for details about our Chorister Scholarships.

We also offer a General Music Scholarship (see details below) for talented musicians who are wishing to pursue music alongside their academic programme. Please see this link for guidance if you’re unsure which path is best for you.

Academic, All Rounder, Art, Drama, Specialist Mathematics, General Music and Sport Scholarships

Financial awards

Scholarship awards are based on current merit. Most applicants will be awarded 10% of their day fees. We do award a finite number of scholarships worth up to 50% of day fees for truly exceptional candidates, which will be awarded solely at our discretion.

We may be able to supplement a scholarship with further financial assistance based on your family’s needs – please see our Bursaries page and our Remissions Policy for details.

Additional benefits

Scholarship recipients also benefit from enhanced opportunities in their particular area(s) to help them develop their talents. Please see our Scholarship Leaflet for details.

Eligibility

Our scholarships (apart from General Music) are open to pupils looking to join in Years 7, 9, 10 and 12; our General Music Scholarships are open to pupils looking to join in Years 7 and 9. We also welcome applications from our current pupils who are progressing into Years 7, 9 and 12 for our scholarships apart from General Music, which is available to current pupils progressing into Years 7 and 9. We recommend that they speak to the relevant teacher in their area before applying.
